J Taylor-Jones (they/them) is an award winning film director, producer and programmer based in Brighton, UK. They are a graduate of Bournemouth Film School, where they obtained a degree in film production, specialising in producing. In 2023, they founded Burning Closets Films, a production company dedicated to platforming Queer voices in front of and behind the camera.

J has worked in a variety of formats, including fiction, non-fiction, artistic and commercial. Their fictitious work often focuses on the relationship between Queer people and the environments they find themselves in and is influenced by their continued research into the representation of transgender people on screen.
